ಕಳೆದ ಬಾರಿ ಜೆಡಿಎಸ್ ನಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ಶಾಸಕರಾಗಿ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಗೋಪಾಲಯ್ಯ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಬಿಜಿಪಿಯಿಂದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೀನಿ ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡಿ ಅಂತಾ ಮತ ಯಾಚನೆ ಮಾಡೋದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರು. ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಇರೋದ್ರಿಂದ ಗೆಲ್ಲೋದು ಖಚಿತ ಅಂದ್ರು
Gopalaiah, who was an MLA from JDS previously had won twice consecutively from Mahalaxmi constituency. This time he is fielded from BJP and claims that he joined BJP for development of the constituency. Furthermore, he is urging people to give one more chance by electing him.
